1. About N2 Applied and this privacy policy

N2 Applied (N2 Plasma Tech AS, org. no. 935 023 858) has developed a technology that enables local production of fertiliser with air and electricity, into either water or liquid organic substrates such as slurry or digestate. N2 Applied provides services through the internet and interacts with prospects and partners through media channels and newsletters.

This privacy policy provides information about which personal data N2 Applied collects about you, why we process your personal data, and your rights connected to our processing of your personal data. N2 Applied will process your personal data in accordance with the applicable privacy laws at all times.

N2 Applied is the data controller for the processing of your personal data. The data controller determines the purpose and means of the processing.

2. Which personal data we process, purpose and basis for the processing

N2 Applied processes personal data about our customers, suppliers and other partners, subscribers to our newsletter and events, users of our website, and people who contact N2 Applied, for example by sending us an inquiry via our website.

N2 Applied collects your personal data in various ways: from your use of our website, by telephone or email, from inquiries, and in connection with our cooperation with suppliers or customers, where we receive your personal data either directly from you or from your employer or client.

N2 Applied’s processing of personal data is based on the following purposes and legal bases:

  • To provide our service, for example to give you access to the service. We process your name, title or position, email address, telephone number, address, and card and payment information. The legal basis is that the processing is necessary in order to fulfil an agreement with you.
  • Administration of suppliers, customers and other collaboration relationships. We process the name and contact information of suppliers, customers and other partners, in addition to personal data contained in contracts, ongoing correspondence, minutes of meetings and similar material. The legal basis is that the processing is necessary for attending to N2 Applied’s legitimate interests in administrating the supplier, customer or collaboration relationship, including communicating with our contacts.
  • To obtain information about your use of our website and to enhance the user experience, N2 Applied uses cookies and your IP address. This is done to calculate how many users have accessed and used the website, to distinguish between different visitors, to remember previous visits from the same device, to identify the start and end of a session, to indicate where visitors come from (at site or country level), and to protect the security of the site. Your IP address is stored only for the duration of your visit to the website, and is thereafter either deleted or anonymised. You can detect and delete cookies by changing the settings in your browser. The legal basis is that the processing is necessary for attending to N2 Applied’s legitimate interests in obtaining visitor statistics, and in optimising and further developing the website.
  • To respond to your inquiries or questions. We process your name, telephone number, email address and any personal data that may arise from the inquiry itself. The legal basis is that the processing is necessary for attending to N2 Applied’s legitimate interests in responding to your inquiries and questions.
  • To sign you up for events. We process your name, employer, telephone number and email address, along with other relevant data related to the event, such as preferences regarding particular items on the agenda. The purpose is to provide information to participants, to manage and organise the event, and to prepare participant lists. The personal data is stored until the event has ended, unless you consent otherwise. The legal basis is that the processing is necessary for attending to N2 Applied’s legitimate interests in managing the event well.
  • To send you newsletters, emails, push notifications or SMS notices that you have signed up for and consented to. We process your name, telephone number, employer and email address.
  • Compliance with statutory requirements and legal obligations, such as requirements set out in Norwegian accounting legislation, and compliance with other orders from public authorities.
  • Compliance with the rights of N2 Applied or third parties, in order to establish, enforce and defend legal claims that we believe we have, or that are directed towards us by customers, suppliers, partners, other third parties or public authorities.

3. Retention period

N2 Applied will retain your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purposes for processing defined above. If the processing is based on your consent, the processing will cease at the time you withdraw your consent. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

Please note that legal obligations, such as statutory rules on storage for accounting purposes, may make continued storage necessary. Continued storage may also occur where it is necessary for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by N2 Applied or third parties, including but not limited to the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

4. Protection of personal data

N2 Applied takes your privacy rights seriously and has implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against security breaches, unauthorised access and unauthorised disclosure.

5. Disclosure to third parties

N2 Applied may disclose your personal data to third parties for the purposes set out in this privacy policy, provided that we have a legal basis for such disclosure.

N2 Applied may use data processors to collect, store or otherwise process personal data on our behalf. Our relationship with such data processors is governed by data processing agreements, which among other things ensure information security for your personal data. Your personal data may be processed or stored outside the EU/EEA. If we transfer your personal data to recipients outside the EU/EEA, we will take all necessary precautions to ensure that your personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection law, including by entering into agreements securing a proper level of security and access.

N2 Applied may also disclose personal data to public authorities in order to comply with statutory obligations or regulatory requirements, for example obligations under Norwegian accounting or tax legislation. The public authority will be the data controller for the personal data disclosed to it.

N2 Applied’s website may include links to third party sites. These sites have their own privacy policies describing how they are operated and how personal data is collected and processed. If you submit personal data to any of these third party sites, your information is governed by their privacy policies. N2 Applied takes no responsibility for such sites, how they are operated or how they process your personal data. We recommend that you familiarise yourself with their privacy policies and terms of use when visiting and using them.

If you “like” or become a member of N2 Applied’s Facebook page, or of N2 Applied’s pages on other social media, this data will be shared with the relevant platform. The same applies to other activity on N2 Applied’s social media pages, such as content you post and posts you like. The relevant platform is responsible for the personal data it collects and processes. 7. Your rights

You have the right to request access to the personal data N2 Applied processes about you. You may also request that your personal data is corrected or deleted, request restriction of processing, object to the processing, and in some circumstances require data portability (the right to receive or transfer personal data in a suitable format). If the processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time.

You are also entitled to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority if you believe that N2 Applied’s processing of your personal data is contrary to data protection law. 8. Modifications to the privacy policy

N2 Applied reserves the right to modify this privacy policy from time to time. The most recent revision supersedes any earlier version. The current version of the privacy policy is available on our website. We advise you to check the privacy policy from time to time in order to keep up to date with it. We will notify you of any changes to the privacy policy that require your consent.
